What is a Bodyshop Manager?
Bodyshop Managers are responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of vehicle repairs. They direct the activities of body shop employees in performing body repairs, including meeting time schedules, productivity levels and maintaining quality standards. They will oversee all specialist areas and ensure that repairs are being carried out as effectively and promptly as possible.Â
Your responsibilities
- Effectively managing the dealership's bodyshop function, meeting and exceeding all Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Maximising the use of all available resources to ensure the department is run in the most effective manner
- Delivering a positive customer experience
- Anticipating and identifying customer needs, meeting and exceeding them
- Working with customers to the highest ethical and professional standards to build long-term profitable relationships
- Demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and communicating appropriately with customers
- Identifying opportunities for reducing waste / inefficiency or improving quality
- Recruiting, managing, coaching and developing colleagues
