What is a Senior Paint Technician?

A Vehicle Damage Senior Paint Technician works in the vehicle body repair sector of the motor industry. The role is to prepare, spray and finish vehicles that have been involved in collisions and incidents in an efficient manner. The vehicles can include cars and light commercial vehicles. This includes ensuring correct colour matching and final finish to the company’s and customer’s exacting standards.

Senior Paint Technicians should be working in the accident repair sector of the industry and have at least three years’ experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to give a fault free finish for both the preparation of panels (existing and new) and the finishing of panels to match existing vehicle paint.
