What is a Shift Supervisor?
Shift Supervisors are professionals who oversee the business operations of their workplace during their shift. They manage the employees, assign tasks and duties and oversee the performance of those during a work shift. Businesses employ these supervisors to manage employees, ensure those scheduled show up for their shifts, maintain productivity and complete required tasks and ensure customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities
- Managing daily schedules, employees shifts and time off requests
- Assigning duties to employees and oversee their progress
- Ensuring daily sales/production goals are met
- Counting cash at the end of the shift
- Responsibility for onboarding and training new employees
- Providing guidance and feedback to employees when needed
- Ensuring industry rules and regulations are followed
- Handling customer and employee complaints
- Maintaining stock levels, resources or other materials
