What is a Parts Manager?
Parts Managers are responsible for overseeing the purchase, storage, and distribution of parts needed for various operations.
They are responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts, negotiating with suppliers and coordinating with other departments to meet their parts needs.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinating the receipt and return of manufacturers goods
- Ensuring goods received, dispatched or stocked on a daily basis
- Ensuring that all stock is received, checked and properly stored
- Ensuring parts and accessories are correctly binned and accurately recorded
- Selecting items accurately, progressing and dispatching orders efficiently
- Ordering parts and accessories under the direction and supervision of the Aftersales Manager
- Ensuring that the parts department records are kept up to date
- Maintaining accurate cash and credit controls
