What is a Parts Centre Manager?
The Parts Centre Manager oversees the efficient operation of the automotive parts department, ensuring the availability of parts for internal and external customers. The role includes managing inventory, leading the parts team, optimising processes and driving sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities
- Leading, coaching and developing the parts team to ensure high levels of performance and morale
- Ensuring accurate inventory levels, stock rotation, and availability of fast-moving parts
- Addressing stock discrepancies and conduct regular audits
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the centre
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts
- Overseeing budgeting, cost control, and profitability of the parts centre. Monitoring financial performance and implementing strategies to maximise profit margins
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate parts fulfilment. Addressing customer complaints and implementing improvements where necessary
- Ensuring all customer orders are processed efficiently, from order placement to delivery, in coordination with logistics and warehouse teams
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the parts department
- Continously assessing and improving the parts department processes for greater efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Working closely with the service, sales and pricurement teams to ensure seamless operations and coordination
