What is an HR Officer?

HR Officers manage all employee related matters within a company. This includes giving individual employees advice about the future of their careers, onboarding new employees, facilitating open communication between employees and management and leading workshops and training. They must be comfortable communicating with employees about sensitive subjects such as salary, pension and benefits. They must be familiar with using technology frequently for data entry as this is an important component of their job as they are expected to update all employee records on the company’s database.
